Conveyor Belt Carcass which is the reinforcement material plays a vital role in Conveyor belt as it to absorb tensile stresses imposed on a belt. In addition to this it has to face bending fatigue while Conveying material and has to cope with all mechanical & Thermal requirements. Since carcass is composed of fabric (tension member) and inter ply thickness of a special resilient rubber that provides the maximum resistance to impact, hence certain material loads characteristics may in turn effect the belt dimensionally. Wider the belt heavier the load, higher the strength, thicker the belt construction which is irrespective of calculated belt strength requirement. Belt Width
The Belts are available in standard width up to 1600mm. Belt Length
Usually the length is indicated in meters (m) either open or endless. An open belt length is circumference of an installation plus the extra length for splicing. The endless belt length is an inner circumference of the spliced belt. Though the standard length offered by us is 200 mtrs, in addition to that we also offer tailor made lengths as per specific request. The restriction on roll length is on account of transportable roll diameter & weight.
Belt Edge Usually Conveyor Belts are produced in Cut Edge Type, Moulded Edge Construction is also available. However the type of belt edge construction is left to customer choice and is required to be specified by the user at the time of inquiry or order placement. Breaker Fabric
On customers request the belt can also be offered with breaker fabric. breaker ply which is open mesh fabric can be incorporated as an extra precaution whenever the adverse loading conditions exists or whenever the material is heavy and carcass is not strong enough to resist its impact.
Thickness The thickness of top cover depends on the kind of material carried and service condition (Type of Load, Size, Abrasive Nature, Temperature of Material Incline Angle, fall height etc). The thickness of top cover is also influenced with load cycle value & the same can be calculated on the basis on 2 L/S, where L is the centre distance between pulleys and S is the speed of the belt. The thickness ratio of top & bottom cover should be up to 3:1
